The condom is one of the essential tools for birth control.

We’ve all dreamed of making our sex lives just a little better – just a little raunchier, just a little more exotic, just a little bigger, larger, long-lasting and erotic. Good news: there are ways of achieving all these dreams, and making your love life better for both you and your partner. With the aid of an adult toy store, you can both heighten your sexual experiences, with a few simple items.

A g-spot vibrator is an indispensable addition to any bedroom tool kit. Usually shaped like a mini umbrella handle, it is designed to reach the g-spot in a female, something not easily done without a sex toy. It can be used with a vibrator, once the vagina is loose enough (here’s where he can come in handy!). There are even some vibrators and dildos that have it all – a g-spot stimulator, a vibrator and anal stimulator in one handy unit.

For him, there are means and ways to elevate his erotic encounter. If perhaps he has always wanted to be a little bigger, or maybe his partner has wanted this, then a penis pump might be the way to go. These usually work by placing the unit over the penis and (as the name suggests) pumping it so it fills with blood and increases the size. Make sure it has a quick release valve in case you get carried away in the heat of the moment - and when combined with a cock ring, you’re guaranteed a huge cock as long as you need it!

STDs - Sexual Transmitted Diseases

This is a very important issue. STDs, or Sexually Transmitted Diseases, as a term did not exist until somewhere around the 1990s. STDs are illnesses transmitted between humans during sexual contact. The most common STDs we known about are Syphilis, Yeast infection, Hepatitis B, Herpes, Pubic lice and Human papillomavirus (HPV). Some of the STDs can be transmitted through the use of needles such as by drug addicts. While some of the STDs can be treated, others can be deadly, so it is not something we should take lightly - but we must focus on the prevention. As the saying goes, ‘prevention is better than cure’.

How do we prevent the spread of STDs? The most important thing we must remember is always practice safe sex. Safe sex came to light in the late 1980s during the outbreak of the AIDS epidemic. Since then, people have been taught the ways to practice safe sex but most of the time, they don’t pay attention to it as they think they don’t risk being infected by STDs. There are many ways to practice safe sex. The most common is masturbation, or sex by yourself. Other than that there is the production of male condom or female condom. It is made of latex or polyurethane. Other ways would be practicing monogamy, that is to have sex with only one partner rather than having multiple partners that would encourage higher risk of infections. Another way, which seems to be a last resort, would be abstinence, or no sex.

However, not all preventions are effective. There are a few that need to be taken into consideration as they are not as effective as they are thought to be. Spermicide Nonoxynol-9 is supposed to be able to kill off sperm but recent studies found that there is a higher chance of infection as it is an irritant that provides an easier way for the transmission. Another method is Coitus interruptus or also known as ‘pulling out’. This method means male will pull out the penis before ejaculation, but this method is proven to be not reliable and not a safe sex practice. Therefore, it is wise to consult a professional preferably a doctor specialised in sexual health before embarking on any safe sex method.

This is the name of the virus that leads to AIDS (Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome). HIV infections have become pandemic. HIV occurs through the transmission of blood, semen and vaginal fluid. The most common way of infection is through sexual contact. Other than that, blood transfusion can cause the spread of HIV too, usually occur by accident in hospital. There are cases reported around the world when healthy human beings get infected solely on blood transfusion. However, as the time goes by, hospitals are becoming more and more careful when selecting blood donors to avoid the same incidents from happening again.

HIV has to go through different cycles before becoming AIDS. Not everyone who is infected is aware that he or she is infected with HIV. You will never know whether you are infected or not, without having to go through series of tests. To be safer, it is best to go check with a doctor so that if you are infected, you can avoid spreading the infection to other people. If you are not infected, at least you can learn to have safe sex and educate other people as well. Let the education be spread all over with the rise of HIV infections all over the world since the 1980s when it was first discovered as an epidemic.

There is no cure for HIV or AIDS. The only method to prevent HIV or AIDS is through the avoidance of this virus. Current treatment for HIV infected people includes ‘highly active antiretroviral therapy’, or HAART. This treatment is able to help the patients to be a bit healthier so to live the remaining life in a better state, but it cannot cure the disease. AIDS has killed more than 25 millions people since it was discovered in the late 1980s, and since then the death toll keeps on rising without fail. This is alarming, but we are all doing as much as we can to prevent HIV from spreading. This is why sexual health is very important for our younger generations.

Birth control is simply a way to regulate the frequency of giving birth. Some people give birth to a child and after three months, are pregnant again with a second child. This can be detrimental, due to the health conditions after giving birth to the first child. There should be a gap in between getting pregnant, for the body to regain a healthy status. After giving birth, a woman’s body will be very weak due to the blood loss and some may even have internal injuries, which is why they need to get rest and wait for their body to be fully healed.

However, not everyone knows the importance of birth controls. Some may find that it is bad to go against God’s wish if they prevent pregnancy by all means. However, they must also realise that God doesn’t want the child to suffer after birth. So here comes the important part of educating these people why it is good to learn about birth control, and how it can help them live a better life. There are many methods for birth control. One of the first methods around was ‘the pill’. The pill is for women, to prevent pregnancy. It was introduced in 1960 and since then has been very popular. Apart from the pill, there is the IUD or intra-uterine device, placed in the uterus to prevent pregnancy.

Some of the not so popular methods of birth control include abortions, sterilizations and abstinence. Still, due to religious or cultural views on birth control, some people are in doubt as to whether to exercise birth control or not. For me, God also teaches us to take good care of our offspring rather than to just keep on giving birth. But that is just my opinon.

Sexual Health - The Awareness

Sexual Health is a very big deal, what with the rise of HIV positive patients and other sexual transmitted diseases. The worst thing is when innocent children are being infected too by the deadly disease. How? Children of course get infected mostly through pregnancy when they are still babies in the womb. If their mothers are HIV positive, they are likely to get infected too. How far is this fact reaching to the people out there? I don’t think there is enough awareness, or else the figure would not increase, when it should be decreasing.

The numbers of HIV positive tests are rising, meaning more and more people are getting infected on daily basis. However, the number of people who get infected with STDs are even more. In American alone, 12 million people get infected with STDs and about 800,000 people are diagnosed as HIV positive. Where are we heading in terms of fighting HIV and STDs? Sexual Health is not something new, but then again people take it very lightly, as if it is not important at all, when it is in fact the most important education of all. However, some very old-fashioned people would think that sexual education is not appropriate to be given in school as it is a taboo subject. Even at home, they don’t give proper sex education so where are we going to learn about sex?

It is time to call for a more aggressive approach in teaching young people about sexual health, and create awareness among the parents about how important it is to teach their children about sex. It is no longer a taboo but a must-learned subject - after all, HIV has been increasing with more people getting infected with STDs. People are dying every day, as there is no cure for HIV. How long are we going to wait before our children get infected with sex-related diseases and what are we going to do then? No more waiting, we must take action now before it is too late.

Before starting a family, it is wise to wait for the female to be over 18 and perfectly healthy to avoid any complications during pregnancy and giving birth. Younger females are not fully developed, and therefore it’s not best to bear a child with a body that is still developing. However, in this world there are so many females in the poorer nations who get married in their early teens. This results in early pregnancy and at the same time, causes even more deaths among the mothers and the newly born or unborn babies.

Family Planning is a guide towards a healthier maternal care and assistance. The term family planning means we make plans as to when we want to have children. Usually there is a combination of birth control in helping us to have children when we are ready rather than when we are not prepared. Raising a family is not an easy task, and the expenses to maintain a family is definitely important. Insufficient funds will cause the whole family to suffer, whether be it through hunger or homelessness. To avoid this situation, we need family planning. We need to lay out a plan as when we are going to earn enough money to support a family, when we are able to invest in something fruitful so to ensure our generation is protected and later, when we are ready for the new additional members to come.

An example, China has imposed a one-child policy. As China’s population has been increasing, the government has come up with a ‘fine’ for any unplanned pregnancies or couples with more than one child. Though this may work, on contrary they actually impose forced abortions as part of the punishments. This is another problem for yet another day. Still, family planning remains important for those who want a family but without having to face too much unnecessary problems such as financial problems and health problems. Family planning is easily available at clinics and hospitals worldwide.
